World Diabetes Day Mauritius
  APSA celebrated World Diabetes Day on Saturday 14 November 2009 with a stand outside Shoprite Supermarket and Food Court.
 

Accompanying theatre group, Etincelles, drew the crowds as

they performed humorous mimes and sketches illustrating the

main aspects of diabetes, such as:

1- The devastating effect of diabetes on an individual’s life

2- The pancreas’ work when it comes to sugar

3- The importance of good care and hygiene for the feet

  APSA’s stand displayed information on the association and its activities. Over 1000 people were made aware of the risks of diabetes and the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
